Character Traits of the Good Leader



In order to be a totally effective leader, there are numerous varied attributes, traits, skills, experiences and training needed that it is often difficult to pinpoint one trait weight loss important than another. During my greater than 30 years of training, developing and qualifying over the thousand leaders, I have continuously struggled using this issue. However, I have decided the something someone needs to be able to actually have a chance of as an effective leader is courage. Leaders must dare to face up for his or her beliefs, expose themselves to objections, controversy and disagreement, lead by example, and develop an inner strength that needs true bravery. C.S. 1. Learn How to Listen Being able to mention yourself is an art form this is not very difficult to develop. What's even harder and shows more character is the power to tune in to others. Listening does not always mean checking person and nodding your face; it implies absorbing what they are saying and responding in a fashion that doesn't invariably begin using the word "I." It is apparent if you are actually listening what the person has to say, and you may earn their respect because of it. Others will feel more inclined to inquire about you questions or approach you with any problems they might be having, that can put in more leadership role at work.

It may be assumed that most folks are already alert to the value of their credibility, but my research substantiates that this is not always true. Research clearly illustrates that the great leaders understood the critical importance of credibility of their lives, and took the required actions to protect and strengthen it.

Now the information wasn't really anything new, however it was fun and inspiring. It did however, remind me of something I know to be true from psychological studies...There are 3 Major solutions to motivate people... 2 ones, I've already talked about in past articles that have been "flattery" and "inspiration". I've talked about methods to implement those methods inside your ads & marketing for optimum response.

Instead, autonomy, mastery and purpose would be the critical for motivation. Unfortunately, this is rarely applied. The effect can often be an unmotivated and unproductive team.
